Madlener House Tour
Saturdays, 11:30AM
The Graham will offer a tour of the Madlener House, a 9,000 square foot Prairie-style mansion located in the historic Gold Coast every Saturday, beginning March 5. The work of architect Richard E. Schmidt and designer Hugh M. G. Garden, the house was built in 1901–02 for Albert Fridolin and his wife Elsa Seipp Madlener. The House was restored for the Graham by Daniel Brenner in 1963-64.
Exhibition Tour
Saturdays, 2PM
The Graham will offer a public tour of Nicolas Grospierre's exhibition One Thousand Doors, No Exit every Saturday at 2PM beginning March 5 through April 2, 2011.
Saturday tours do not require reservations and are free and open to the public. Tours will begin in the foyer on the first floor and last approximately 20 minutes.

Recently published books supported by the Graham, like the new English translation of the European avant garde journal, G: An Avant-Garde Journal of Art, Architecture, Design, and Film, 1923-1926, edited by grantee Detlef Mertins and Michael W. Jennings, as well as The Complete Architecture of Adler & Sullivan, a project the Graham has been associated with for over forty years when it gave a grant to Richard Nickel in 1966. The bookstore also carries magazines and journals from around the world.
The Graham's new bookshop, located in the library, opens March 3.
